This is my first time to join local tour in Barcelona, Spain. The reason is I'd like to know more about Barcelona with different view, from different side. From the tour guide, also from the tour members. That's why I join the Castle Experience winery tour guide in Nov, 2017.
First stop: Montserrat
After we check-in in front of the meeting point (Hard Rock Cafe in the town), the tour bus took us to the parking lot of Montserrat. We had around two hours in Montserrat. Our nice and gentle tour guide, Jordi introduce his hometown (right in Montserrat), the culture, history, for example.
Anything we tourists should know about Montserrat, he told us. Then we have FREE TIME around 50 minutes to hang around. We spent 20 minutes in the special farmer market for tasting homemade cheese, cake and honey. Watching the mountain view from the Monestir de Montserrat. Kind a great cozy place for everyone. Peaceful.
Second stop: Oller del Mas Winery tour
After Montserrat, we headed to Oller del Mas for wine! Around 30 minutes by car, we came to a dinning room for wine tasting. We had four tapas, one cheese cake, water and three kinds of wine. Two vino tinto (red wine) and one vino blanco (white wine).
Thanks to our professional tour guide Jordi, he had worked in wine company. He taught us some knowledge about WINE! Smell, look, and drink! Salud!
In general, we did have great great time.The tour really make me know more about Barcelona, not just a busy city, you know.
Please note that you should print the QRcode after the tour order. Wear a pair of comfortable shoes, brings your own jacket. Super cold in Nov when you visit Montserrat.
