Taipei | Zha Lao Da Fried chicken stall

For Taiwanese (so do I), we proud of our Taiwanese popcorn chicken stand. Most of fried chicken stand always serve vegetables, meats, tempura, and so on.

I am wondering what kind of people do not like yummy, greasy and crunchy fried chicken! Today I would love to share one of fried chicken stand names "Zha Lao Da 炸老大" in Neihu, Taipei.

The stand located near the night market on Lane 737 (737巷) in Neihu District. Around 20 mins by walk from MRT Gangqian.

There are two things we should know abount Zha Lao Da. First, they use deoiler to decrease the flavour of greasy. Second, the tempura (fish cake) is tasted like cookie! Crunchy one.

I would recommend squid legs, popcorn chicken, tempura (fish cake) and thousand years egg (if you would like to try). You could add green onion, garlic, or chilli powder, it depends.

My special recipe for late night snack is put squid legs and popcorn chicken on the top of hot rice!!! Yummy yummy.

Please note
